Is Coinbase Wallet the same as my Coinbase account?

No. Coinbase Wallet is a self-custody wallet where you control your private keys. It’s separate from your Coinbase account and can be used independently.

Can I use the extension without a Coinbase account?

Yes. You can create a new self-custody wallet or import an existing compatible wallet. You don’t need a Coinbase account to use the extension.

How do I get started?
